Science fiction at the rim of the known universe

Since the discovery of zero-space jumps, mankind has been able to travel greater distances in space in a much shorter time. As a result, human colonies have sprung up all over the solar system - some under very comfortable living conditions, others on planets where life is only possible at all thanks to active life support systems.

Since the military decommissioned a large number of light reconnaissance ships and offered them for sale at very affordable prices, the number of adventurous crews who have set out to explore these outlying regions of the populated universe has increased dramatically.

However, the demilitarised but still capable ships have also attracted the interest of all sorts of shady characters, so watch out for pirates. Especially as some of them seem to know which black markets you can use to get the dismantled military parts in order to reinstall them.
