Most people live in poverty. An attempt to improve their situation through a strike has escalated into a city-wide uprising, which was brutally suppressed.
Since then, the oppression of the lower classes has been stepped up to prevent any further uprisings.

During the uprising and the unrests that followed, A tyrant took advantage of the chaotic conditions to seize power and now rules the city with an iron fist.
